It's been a busy, exciting, and adventurous week in NZ.  I've been wanting to see more of the country while here in NZ and because Tom was busy he made arrangements for me to take the bus and stay with friends.  On tue. traveled from Hamilton to Palmerston North, there I went to a youth leaders meeting and stayed overnight.  On wed. I traveled from Pal. North to Wellington, I was able to go to a youth group meeting and then stayed overnight.  On thur. morning I took the Ferry across to the South Island of NZ, then took the bus to Nelson.  Then on sat. I flew from Nelson to Tauranga and then drove to Rotorua for the day.  Then finally I returned to Hamilton Saturday night.  It was really good to see the country and meet many different people.  I got a better feel for the culture and was able to experience more of the youth culture.  While traveling I was able to meet many unsaved people and hand out tracks.

My trip started with this very bus...my bus driver used to be a missionary with New Tribes Mission.  It was an encouragement to speak to him about what I was doing here in NZ.

The sea was extremely rough while I was on the Ferry.  I normally don't get sea sick but this time I lost my whole breakfast...

While in Nelson my host drove me up the coast and showed me some beautiful views.

Some carvings I saw along the road.

I was able to go on this ride down a mountain while in Rotorua...it can go pretty fast...

Rotorua is a town that is filled with geysers.  The steam from them comes out of the ground...and smells horrible.

On sunday I was able to go to the zoo and see my relatives (just kidding).

This was a youth meeting held at a local Christian college.  There was a walk through drama and at the end a presentation of the gospel.

I'm really excited that I have been able to see the Word of Life ministry here in NZ.  By traveling around I was also able to see how it affects the country.  I continue to pray that God would give me direction and show me if this might be a place of ministry for Samm and I.  Like other countries, people need the Lord here in NZ.  The ministry of WOL here is dynamic and has a profound impact on the country.  Due to lack of staff they can only do so much.  There are many great opportunities for service here.

  • New Zealand

So far I've had an exciting four days in New Zealand.  I've been able to visit a sheep farm, sit in on a public school bible lesson, and yesterday I went off roading/four wheel driving.  We drove into the mountains of NZ on 4x4 SUV's.  That was pretty exciting and the view was amazing.  NZ is a very beautiful country with all kinds of scenery.  I was able to meet some new people and have some NZ food after.  The most exciting part was riding in a 1941 American Army Jeep (a little piece of home), it was the only car with the drivers wheel on the left side.  There were no seatbelts and a few times I thought I was going to fall out or the jeep was going to roll over.  It was like being on a roller coaster, except not as safe.  Can't wait to see what else happens.  Thanks for your prayers.

It's been moderately busy the last two weeks as I started my Liberty classes and my internship at the Bible Institute.  The business is starting to pick up as more students are coming back to campus.  I know it's going to be a great year of growth and learning.  This past weekend I got to spend some time at home and then camping with my girlfriend, her family, and people from my church.  It was an awesome weekend and I still smell like campfire...I love campfires at night.  I do have a confession to make, I didn't make a single smore  There's always next time.  You one of the worst feeling in the world is when you're dreaming and you feel like you're falling...or better yet you feel like you're blind and you can't open your eyes...have you ever had that???

    IT's BeEn a While...

and Yes it has been a while...but I'm back and I'm ready to update.  I'm currently working on my Summer Intership Paper (3,000)<---Why, why, why...because I have to.  It's been an awesome summer full of God's blessings and lessons.  I've really enjoyed being a Unit Leader on the Ranch and West Coast camp was amazing.  Many kids have come to know Christ this summer and I'm really thankful that God was able to use me as a tool.

I've been convicted this last week about my faith and living a deeper more surrendered life.  Growing up as a Christian every once in a while my faith seems to get stale..."it's not God, it's me."  God's always there and for that I'm thankful but I still have many things to work on.  Thank you for GRACE...no it's not a girl...my girlfriends name is Samm...Grace is something I don't deserve that God gives me for free.

Well it's our last week of camp and I graduate from my second year on Sunday.  Monday is the big day I start IDP...break???  What's that?  Not me, not now is what I say.  I'm excited about moving on to a different stage in my life.  This one time I thought about going to Word of Life Bible Institute...so I did...everyone should do it...not because I did but because it's a great place to learn about God...check it out. www.wolbi.net "It's a great place to Start."
